Hexagon quilt update

I was able to get all the rows sewn together several days ago! Now the fun of tying to sew those rows together. I watched several videos and read tutorials on how other people put their quilts together. I was still terrified but I knew I had to start. It is proving to be a bit of a challenge. I need to make sure that all the points match, straight seams, and no puckering. It is slow going but I have 4 rows done so far. Just don’t look too closely.

I have about one week left to get the whole thing done. I see many late nights ahead but I am excited to get it done and hopefully on time. I am still not sure how I am going to quilt it. I was hoping that I would be able to do the quilting by hand but I am afraid I will run out of time. We will have to wait and see.01a7c9d17e206bcbd416c1c95e051f4e3fdddd2baf

Cutting fabric for another project

I know I already have over 30 WIPs in progress and I need to ┬ábe working on them. However this week I had the flu. Who gets the flu in the summer?! I should be getting caught up on the laundry, and the dishes that have piled up but tonight I have the house to myself. No husband and no kids. I finally don’t have a fever and don’t feel awful. So I am going to sit, watch tv, and cut some fabric. Not quite sure what it will become yet but I may have an idea. To make myself feel less guilty I organized by box of fabric for making quilts. I will be busy for awhile…image
